Come join us in our first ever hybrid event on November 12th – Releasing event of our “Public Money? Public Code!” guide for governments and civil society.
The guide aims to help citizens know:
💡Public digital service is built by using tax payers’ money, so everyone has the right to examine and supervise it.
💡What is free and open source software (FLOSS)?
💡How can it enhance the transparency, accessibility, and security of public digital services?
💡How can it save government’s budget but improve the quality of public digtial service at the same time?
The author, Mr. Franklin Weng from Software Liberty Association Taiwan, will introduce these ideas for us!
This event will be held from 4:00pm-6:10pm (UTC+8) on November 12th at the Foundation for Future Generation, Taiwan, as well as live broadcast on Webex! Aside from the publication release, we’ve also invited Ms. Isabel Hou from “g0v Jothon” taskforce to introduce the efforts of “g0v Sch001” in open-source education. Moreover, Ms. Claire Cheng from Open Culture Foundation will also talk about their latest board game “Open StarTer Village”, and lead the audience through a fun trial play at the end of the event!
English-Chinese two way simultaneous interpretation will also be provided.
Address of event venue: Wu-chang office of the Foundation for Future Generation, 5F, No. 18, Sec. 1, Wuchang St., Zhongzheng Dist., Taipei City
